Holistic Yoga Class
Thursdays 5.00 - 6.00pm
at Ruby Retreat Centre, 155 Stafford Drive, Ruby Bay, Tasman.
True health is multi-layered with our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual states interweaving and having effect on each other. These holistic yoga classes address and integrate all the layers, supporting your complete wellbeing.
Classes consist of yoga asana, therapeutic and playful movement as well as yogic and ayurvedic practices involving invigoration, restoring balance, relaxation and breathwork.
As you move through the class, you will learn somatically about your body and maintaining your health, looking from both a yogic-ayurvedic and western-anatomical framework.
The class is suitable for all levels of practice (although please contact me if you are a complete beginner), with poses at gentle to moderate intensity and with modifications offered to match your level of practice.
Deep Rest and Rejuvenate Class
One to Two Sundays per month 3.30 - 5.00pm

What better way to end your week than with a complete reset and rejuvenation session!
This class combines gentle asana, yin and restorative yoga, followed by yoga nidra (non sleep deep rest), which together create a powerful reboot for your body and mind.
We start with gentle movement and some long holding yin poses to melt away tension, followed by comfortably supported active rest (restorative) yoga. Then in a comfortable nest of bolsters and blankets, you will be led through a thoroughly calming yoga nidra session.
This class can support you to lower stress hormones, lessen anxiety, balance your mood, improve sleep quality, enhance cognitive function, and improve self-awareness and presence. Deep relaxation brings your body into an ideal state for healing, and for integrating current and past experiences and emotions.


About Your Teacher
Romany Rutledge (Rati)
I am a yoga teacher and practitioner of 20+ years, former studio manager and teacher of Christchurch Yoga Studio (2005-2010), and a 300hr yoga training graduate.
My training in naturopathy and ayurveda bring wider knowledge of the human form to my classes and personal practice.
